1. Breaking Down Silos and Groupthink
Stakeholder Mapping Workshops are collaborative, cross-functional sessions where internal team members map stakeholders onto digital whiteboards. This process challenges individual assumptions regarding external attitudes, aligns internal departments, and uncovers hidden friction points before public rollouts.

2. The Consensus Dispersion Variance Formula
To measure boardroom alignment and ensure that workshop participants are not merely succumbing to groupthink, teams compute the Consensus Dispersion Variance (CDV) across stakeholder positioning scores.
Formula:
CDV = Sum_for_participants( (X_i – X_mean)^2 ) / (N – 1)
Where:
  • X_i = Individual alignment score assigned by workshop participant ‘i’
  • X_mean = Calculated arithmetic mean of all assigned participant scores for that stakeholder
  • N = Total number of participating workshop team members
Workshop Re-evaluation Rule:
If CDV >= 2.0 —> Halt Strategy Formulation and Mandate Facilitated De-biasing Session
