To build a sustainable digital financial ecosystem, central banks must shift consumers away from temporary digital transactions and create permanent Cashless Retail Networks.
The Merchant Transaction Loop
If consumers can only use mobile money to receive funds before immediately converting the tokens back into physical cash at an agent counter, the system remains reliant on expensive cash management infrastructure. Central banks deploy standardized, low-cost payment indicators (such as unified interoperable QR Code Frameworks) to allow micro-merchants, market sellers, and transport networks to accept digital tokens directly, keeping capital circulating safely within the digital ecosystem.
