I obtained a PhD in Finance and an MSc degree in Investment Analysis both from the University of Stirling, and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Accounting Option, from the University of Nairobi. I am a qualified Certified Public Accountant of Kenya and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
My research interests are broadly in the fields of both Finance and Accounting. In Finance, I focus on household finance and behavioural finance, specifically investigating the impact of behavioural finance concepts on household financial decisions. My interests in Accounting, are mainly in public financial management with a focus on the relationship between finanical reporting practices and incidences of corruption.
