About Course
This program introduces participants to the key analytical aspects of monetary policy conducted by a central bank, with particular emphasis on the role of modern monetary analysis in policy formulation and implementation. The curriculum begins with the fundamentals of monetary statistics and accounting, providing the basis for understanding monetary processes and the sources of money supply growth . Participants will examine monetary analysis as a toolkit for assessing transmission channels, with detailed attention to the interest rate channel, and will explore analytical tools for evaluating transmission mechanisms . A separate module focuses on macroeconomic forecasting models, including their construction, operating principles, limitations, and role in policy decision-making . The program also covers the practical application of monetary analysis in the conduct of policy, drawing on real-world central bank experience to develop a comprehensive understanding of the central bank’s role in the economy
